Once upon a time, I had a life outside of this house. Now, I am a mother of two young children, 6 and 3. My husband works crazy hours, so the traditional dinner where everyone comes together each night has never even been an option. I am on "bedtime routine" duty by myself at least four nights a week. Sometimes I reach my edge and feel like I am on the verge of a breakdown. But then there are other times when, just when I think I might scream, something amazing happens and one of us comes up with a great idea and we grow as a family. These breakthroughs are what remind me that being a mother is the most important job I will ever have. And if I am brave enough, I will learn and grow along this journey too.
